Yoga Classes

Yoga gives climbers amazing cross-training possibilities!

 

Rockreation offers a variety of yoga classes Monday through Thursday including Vinyasa, power flow and Yin-Yoga. Click on the Yoga flier for descriptions and schedule you can print out.

Monday - Yoga with Katie (6:00-7:00pm)

Katie’s Vinyasa Flow class combines the methods of Hatha and Power Yoga to deliver a sequence of postures that will playfully build endurance and strength while steadying the breath and mind.

Monday - Yoga with Hummingbird (7:15-8:15pm)

Hummingbird Flow is a compassion based yoga class fostered in centering the mind and aligning the body. By gaining an awareness of the breath we find an inner tempo to flow.

Tuesday - Vinyasa Yoga with Samantha (6:00-7:00pm)

Sam’s open-level vinyasa yoga classes are appropriate for all yogis, with a foundation based on alignment and breath work.  For more advanced yogis, you’ll have options to challenge your strength and flexibility.  In this flow-based class, you will deepen your connection to mind and body, build core strength and balance, and end with restorative poses to target the muscle groups you used throughout class.  Expect an excellent playlist and grounded, yet light-hearted practice.

Tuesday - Yoga with Kristina (7:15-8:15pm)

Kristina specializes in vinyasa flow with an emphasis on alignment. Her classes are slow, fun, and challenging snd a great attitude and sense of humor are always welcome! Depending on the vibe and energy, She’ll also mix in some restorative yoga.

Wednesday - Yoga with Jason (6:00-7:00pm)

Jason’s strong holistic flow yoga class aims to integrate & harmonize your physical, emotional and mental well-being though a challenging asana practice rooted and guided by the breath. This is a great bread and butter practice for those looking to stay fit, strong and calm in the face of life’s challenges. Expect to gain core strength and confidence in your body. You will deepen awareness & connection to your innate body intelligence, and leave the mat feeling empowered, balanced and grounded.

Wednesday - HIIT Yoga Fusion with Katie Bay(7:15-8:15pm)

The high intensity interval training gets the heart rate going, tightens, defines and sculpts the body. Yoga creates flexibility, balance and endurance-based strength. This class will blend them into a brilliant fusion giving you the benefits of both.

Thursday - Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Jessica (8:00-9:00am)

Vinyasa flow (based on Ashtanga yoga) will move your body and breath through a series of postures that are strength and flexibility oriented, with focus on breath, asana, and meditation.

Thursday - Vinyasa Yoga with Samantha (6:00-7:00pm)
