Yoga gives climbers amazing cross-training possibilities!

 

Rockreation offers a variety of yoga classes Monday through Thursday including Vinyasa, power flow and Yin-Yoga. Click on the Yoga flier for descriptions and schedule you can print out.

Monday - Yoga with Jake (6:00-7:00pm)

Jake’s class starts slow but physically demanding with an emphasis on modern day intention setting rooted in ancient yoga philosophy. His class progressively increases in intensity while holding a sense of flow and playfulness that is accessible to any level of yoga practitioner. Combining a mix of vinyasa flow and ashtanga yoga leaves your body and mind feeling relaxed while adding a renewed sense of direction and purpose to your own personal practice.

Tuesday - Vinyasa Yoga with Lucy (6:00-7:00pm)

This open-level vinyasa yoga classes are appropriate for all yogis, with a foundation based on alignment and breath work.  For more advanced yogis, you’ll have options to challenge your strength and flexibility.  In this flow-based class, you will deepen your connection to mind and body, build core strength and balance, and end with restorative poses to target the muscle groups you used throughout class.  Expect an excellent playlist and grounded, yet light-hearted practice.

Wednesday - Yoga with Jake (6:00-7:00pm)

Thursday - Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Jessica (8:00-9:00am)

Vinyasa flow (based on Ashtanga yoga) will move your body and breath through a series of postures that are strength and flexibility oriented, with focus on breath, asana, and meditation.

Thursday - Yoga with Kristina (6:00 pm-7:00pm)

Kristina is a 250hr certified vinyasa yoga teacher. Her class is suitable for all levels and tries to strike a balance between a strong slow flow and smooth breath work. She also likes to emphasize mindfulness and awareness.
